Endi Bala, a 23-year-old Michigan man, was arrested after attempting to kidnap two girls in separate incidents on the same day. The first attempt occurred in Clinton Township, where Bala allegedly tried to force a 15-year-old girl into his car, but bystander Paul Billeter intervened, allowing the girl to escape and alert authorities. Shortly after, Bala approached a 7-year-old girl in Sterling Heights, grabbing her from her bicycle and attempting to drive off while she hung out of the car window. His escape was thwarted by another bystander, Scott VanLuven, who blocked Bala's car with his truck and pulled him from the vehicle. Both incidents were captured on surveillance video, highlighting the bravery of the bystanders who intervened. Bala faces multiple charges, including attempted unlawful imprisonment, and if convicted, could face significant prison time.
