Iyer, Suryakumar to Play in Buchi Babu Tournament

Shreyas Iyer is set to play for Mumbai in the Buchi Babu tournament, marking his return to domestic cricket as he aims to regain his spot in India's Test team for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) confirmed Iyer's participation, highlighting that he will play against Jammu & Kashmir from August 27. Iyer, who has been in and out of the Test squad due to injuries and form issues, lost his central contract after skipping domestic matches earlier this year. Alongside Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav will also play for Mumbai, signaling the involvement of top players in the domestic circuit. Iyer's performance in this tournament will be crucial for his Test comeback, especially under the new mentorship of head coach Gautam Gambhir.
