Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sets Record

Porsche's upcoming Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid has set a new lap record at the Nürburgring, clocking in at 7:24.17 minutes, making it 5.64 seconds quicker than its predecessor. This new Panamera variant combines a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with an electric motor to produce 771 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque, surpassing many high-performance cars like the McLaren 750S and Ferrari F8 Tributo. The record-setting car was stock except for a mandatory roll cage and racing seat, and it featured optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and a Carbon Aerokit. Porsche credits improvements in the powertrain, aerodynamics, and the new Porsche Active Ride chassis for the enhanced performance. The new Panamera is expected to be officially unveiled soon with more detailed specifications.
