Simone Biles Throws First Pitch for Astros

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, fresh from her success at the 2024 Paris Olympics, threw out the first pitch at Friday's Houston Astros game against the Kansas City Royals. Biles, a native of Spring, Texas, was joined by fellow Olympian Jordan Chiles and other Houston-area athletes. This marks one of several times Biles has performed this honor, previously doing so in 2016 and 2019. Fans were thrilled to see Biles, who has become the most decorated U.S. gymnast with 11 Olympic medals. The Astros won the game 3-2, adding to an already celebratory evening. Biles continues to support the Paralympics and has hinted at the possibility of competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
