Les Miles Sues LSU, NCAA, and NFF Over Hall of Fame Eligibility
Former LSU coach Les Miles has filed a lawsuit against LSU, the NCAA, and the National Football Foundation over the vacating of 37 wins, which dropped his career winning percentage below the .600 threshold required for College Football Hall of Fame eligibility. The vacated wins were part of penalties related to improper benefits paid to the father of former player Vadal Alexander. Miles argues that LSU violated his constitutional rights to due process by not allowing him to challenge the ruling, which he claims has tarnished his reputation and eligibility. Without the vacated wins, Miles' record stands at 145-73 (.665), but with the vacated wins, it drops to 108-73 (.597). The lawsuit seeks to reinstate the vacated wins and restore his eligibility for the Hall of Fame. Miles' career includes a national championship in 2007 and two SEC titles with LSU.
