Dolphins Release Defensive Tackle Teair Tart

The Miami Dolphins have released veteran defensive tackle Teair Tart, who signed with the team in April. Tart struggled with consistency during training camp, missed practices, and did not participate in the preseason opener against the Falcons. He was expected to compete for a starting nose tackle position but fell behind Benito Jones and Brandon Pili in the depth chart. Throughout his NFL career, Tart has recorded 79 tackles and 2.5 sacks over 47 games played. The Dolphins now have several players, including Da'Shawn Hand and Neville Gallimore, competing for backup spots on the defensive line. This move comes as Miami aims to strengthen its run defense after key player departures.
