Cunard's flagship Queen Mary 2 is set to arrive in Liverpool on September 6, 2023, to commemorate her 400th transatlantic crossing, marking a significant milestone since Cunard began passenger services in 1840. This visit will feature two exclusive ship tours for travel agents on September 6 and 7, highlighting Cunard's entertainment offerings and providing opportunities for agents to enhance their product knowledge. The Queen Mary 2 will depart for Cobh, Ireland, on September 7 after an overnight stay, and this marks the first visit by a Cunard ship since the naming ceremony of the new ship, Queen Anne, in June. Cunard President Katie McAlister emphasized the historical connection between Cunard and Liverpool, expressing pride in returning to the city where their transatlantic journey began. Crowds are expected to gather along the Mersey to witness the ship's arrival, reinforcing the longstanding bond between the cruise line and the city. Cunard's 2024 ship visit program will also include additional events in other ports, further fostering relationships with travel agents.
