Belfast City Airport
Belfast City Airport has maintained its 'Very Good' accessibility rating for the seventh consecutive year, as noted in the Civil Aviation Authority's (CAA) annual report. The report, which assesses UK airports on their services for disabled and less mobile passengers, highlighted Belfast's innovative initiatives, including the 'Autism in the Air' program. AGS Airports also received positive recognition, with Glasgow and Southampton ranked 'Very Good' and Aberdeen rated 'Good'. Notably, for the first time since 2020, no UK airport was rated 'Poor' for accessibility, demonstrating overall progress in accommodating passengers with mobility issues. The report revealed that 11 airports achieved 'Very Good' ratings, while 12 were rated 'Good'. Airports are encouraged to enhance staffing and equipment to maintain high accessibility standards as demands fluctuate.
