Ian McKellen Withdraws from 'Player Kings' Tour
Sir Ian McKellen, 85, has withdrawn from the national tour of 'Player Kings' to fully recover from a fall he suffered during a performance in London on June 17. McKellen, who fell off the stage during a fight scene, spent three nights in the hospital and has been advised by doctors to take time off to ensure a complete recovery. Understudy David Semark will take over the role of Sir John Falstaff for the tour, which runs from July 3 to 27. McKellen expressed his disappointment but assured audiences that the production remains exceptional. The actor, known for iconic roles in 'Lord of the Rings' and 'X-Men,' continues to recuperate and thanks fans for their support.
