Denton County Law Enforcement Targets Prostitution
A recent law enforcement operation in Denton, Texas, led to the arrests of 21 individuals, including seven Indian nationals, in a crackdown on prostitution. The 'Prostitution Demand Suppression Operation,' conducted on August 14-15, involved the Denton County Sheriff's Office and the Highland Village Police Department. Among the arrested, five individuals of Telugu origin were charged with solicitation of prostitution and one with soliciting a minor, a 2nd Degree Felony. Additional charges included illegal weapon possession and evading arrest. The operation reflects ongoing efforts to address prostitution and related criminal activities in the community, with the Sheriff's Human Trafficking Unit continuing to investigate further leads. This incident follows a previous human trafficking case involving Indian nationals in Texas earlier this year.
