A plane carrying 62 people crashed near Vinhedo, Brazil, on Friday, with all on board presumed dead, according to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The Voepass Linhas Aéreas aircraft was traveling from Cascavel to São Paulo when it lost altitude rapidly, dropping approximately 17,000 feet within a minute before going down. Initial reports indicate the plane spiraled downwards, and social media footage shows it descending vertically into trees, creating a large plume of smoke. No casualties have been reported on the ground, and a crisis cabinet has been established by São Paulo's governor to manage the situation. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, with Voepass stating they will provide updates as the inquiry progresses. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the scene, where local authorities confirmed there were no survivors.
