Severe Flooding in Gujarat Causes 28 Deaths
Gujarat has been severely affected by continuous heavy rains, leading to widespread flooding and significant disruptions. In Vadodara, the Vishwamitri River overflowed, submerging large parts of the city and prompting extensive rescue operations by the NDRF, SDRF, and armed forces. India cricketer Radha Yadav was among those rescued, expressing gratitude to the NDRF. The floods have caused casualties, with at least 28 deaths reported statewide and thousands displaced. In Dwarka, repeated monsoon deluges have also necessitated major rescue efforts. The state government has issued a red alert, closed schools, and is actively monitoring the situation to ensure public safety.
