Jobson writes that Markle felt her husband, Prince Harry, deserved more in terms of living conditions, as he was residing in the much smaller Nottingham Cottage while the Waleses lived in a lavish 20-room residence. This experience reportedly surprised Markle and may have contributed to the tensions between the two couples, as she was not jealous but rather taken aback by the contrast. Prince Harry himself expressed embarrassment about his modest home in his memoir, 'Spare'.
