Laurent Bonadei Named Coach of France Women's Team
Laurent Bonadei has been appointed as the new head coach of the France women's national team following the departure of Hervé Renard, who left after their quarter-final exit from the Paris Olympics. Bonadei, who has been Renard's assistant since 2019, signed a contract through to the end of the 2027 Women's World Cup. French Football Federation president Philippe Diallo emphasized the need for a coach familiar with both the team and women's football, highlighting Bonadei's experience and high standards. Meanwhile, Gerald Baticle has taken over as the coach of the France Under-21s after serving as an assistant to Thierry Henry. Bonadei expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and is committed to continuing the work of his predecessor. Both coaches are preparing their teams for significant upcoming competitions, including the Euro 2025 in Switzerland.
