New art building in St Andrews

Trinity College at the University of Toronto is advancing construction on the Lawson Centre for Sustainability, a four-storey hybrid timber and concrete building targeting LEED Platinum certification, which will provide approximately 350 residence beds and various academic spaces. Meanwhile, the Broad River Arts Center has opened in Columbia, SC, transforming a church into a 140-seat venue for performances, driven by the vision of Donna Wilson and Greg Boatwright after attending the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The University of Kentucky has completed a $5.25 million renovation of the Gray Design Building, enhancing collaboration among design students with shared spaces and 550 workstations. Additionally, the North Carolina Arboretum is hosting a plein air painting event to honor modernist painter Will Henry Stevens, showcasing the connection between nature and art. Finally, the Woodlands Christian Academy has debuted its new Fine Arts Educational Building, featuring the largest black box theatre in the Houston area and various specialized art spaces, welcoming students for the new academic year.
