Women Entrepreneurs Empowered Across Multiple Regions

Eden Venture Group (EDEN) has launched an initiative to promote the domestication of Nigeria's first Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) Policy, which was adopted in May 2023, aiming to enhance gender equality and social inclusion. The initiative will focus on three key states: Kano, Kaduna, and Lagos, working alongside other organizations to implement the policy effectively. In Sri Lanka and Malaysia, a recent event highlighted the need for increased support for women entrepreneurs, as women face significant challenges in achieving gender parity in business sectors. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Rural Transformation in Belize has initiated a Women's Economic Empowerment Programme to equip women with entrepreneurial skills for sustainable livelihoods. In India, officials emphasized the necessity of supporting women entrepreneurs to drive economic growth and highlighted the importance of intellectual property in fostering innovation among women-led businesses. These various initiatives underscore a global commitment to advancing women's economic empowerment across different regions.
