Prince Harry has been ordered by a UK judge to explain the disappearance of messages with his ghostwriter, J.R. Moehringer, which could be relevant to his lawsuit against News Group Newspapers (NGN) for unlawful information gathering. The court heard that significant documents and messages were destroyed between 2021 and 2023, well after Harry's legal claim was initiated in 2019. NGN's lawyer, Anthony Hudson, accused Harry of 'shocking' obfuscation and deliberately creating obstacles to obtaining the documents. Harry's lawyer, David Sherborne, dismissed these claims as a 'fishing expedition' and maintained that Harry has conducted extensive searches. The judge emphasized the troubling nature of the missing documents and ordered Harry to attempt to retrieve the messages from Signal and other communication records.
