Northern Superchargers Break Losing Streak in The Hundred

The Northern Superchargers achieved a long-awaited victory in the men's Hundred competition, defeating Southern Brave by successfully chasing down a target of 147 runs, thanks to Nicholas Pooran's explosive 62 runs off 34 balls and a finishing six from Harry Brook. This win marked their first triumph in the competition since last season. In the women's competition, the Superchargers and Brave played out the first-ever tie in The Hundred, with both teams scoring 100 runs. Kate Cross was unable to secure the win for the Superchargers on the final delivery, finishing with two runs instead of the three needed. Lauren Bell was the standout bowler for Brave, taking 4 wickets for just 11 runs. Despite the tie, both teams remain winless in this season's campaign after their opening matches.
