Letsile Tebogo Wins 100m at Rome Diamond League
Botswana's Letsile Tebogo won the men's 100m at the Rome Diamond League, clocking an impressive 9.87 seconds despite easing up before the finish line. Tebogo, the newly-crowned Olympic 200m champion, outpaced Christian Coleman (9.92s) and Fred Kerley (9.95s) for the win. Marcell Jacobs, the Tokyo Olympics champion, struggled and finished last in 10.20 seconds. In other notable performances, Bahrain's Winfred Yavi narrowly missed the world record in the women's 3000m steeplechase, clocking 8:44.39, just 0.07 seconds shy. Kenya's Faith Kipyegon won the women's 1500m in 3:52.89, while Tara Davis-Woodhall triumphed in the women's long jump with a 7.02m effort.
