Airtel, Nokia, MediaTek Set 5G Uplink Benchmark

Airtel, in collaboration with MediaTek and Nokia, has successfully completed trials that achieved a 5G uplink speed of 300 Mbps, setting a new benchmark in network performance. Conducted at Airtel's tech lab, the trials combined TDD and FDD mid-band spectrum using the latest Dimensity 5G mobile platform, significantly enhancing uplink performance for demanding applications. The innovative UL Tx switching technology allows for dynamic transmission across two frequency bands (3.5 GHz and 2.1 GHz), improving connectivity for high-demand scenarios such as video conferencing and large file uploads. Randeep Sekhon, CTO of Bharti Airtel, emphasized the importance of continuous innovation in enhancing network infrastructure and user experience. MediaTek's Dr. Ho-Chi Hwang noted the successful partnership aims to deliver cutting-edge technology to enhance connectivity.
