Ypsilanti Man Critically Injured in Ann Arbor Shooting
A 23-year-old man from Ypsilanti is in critical condition after being shot in the chest during an incident early Sunday morning in Ann Arbor. The shooting occurred around 3:10 a.m. near William and Maynard streets, and the suspect, described as a black male in his 20s wearing a white shirt and black pants, fled the scene in a white sedan. Authorities believe the shooting was not random and are investigating a possible motive. The University of Michigan's Division of Public Safety issued alerts to the campus community and later deemed the area safe. In a separate incident, a 24-year-old man was also hospitalized in Lansing following a shooting with multiple gunshot wounds, but details regarding that case remain under investigation.
