California Man Arrested for Kidnapping in Oregon

A 53-year-old man, Troy J. Massa, from Macdoel, California, was arrested in Klamath Falls after a woman he allegedly kidnapped managed to escape and alert police. The woman had been taken from outside Eugene and reportedly held against her will for approximately 30 days, during which she was threatened with a shotgun. After fleeing to a Walmart, she contacted 911, providing details about the suspect and their vehicle. Police coordinated a discreet operation to evacuate the store and apprehend Massa without causing panic among patrons. Further investigation revealed additional crimes committed by Massa in Siskiyou County. He is now facing kidnapping and coercion charges, with additional inquiries ongoing.
