Operation Bhediya Captures Four Wolves in Bahraich

Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district has experienced a series of deadly wolf attacks over the past few months, resulting in the deaths of at least nine children and a woman. In response, the Forest Department has initiated 'Operation Bhediya' to capture the wolves, employing innovative tactics such as using teddy bears soaked in children's urine to simulate human presence and lure the wolves. So far, four out of the six wolves have been captured, but two remain at large, causing continued anxiety among residents. The authorities are also using thermal drones, firecrackers, and elephant dung to track and deter the wolves. Despite these efforts, recent attacks have claimed more lives, including a three-year-old girl and a two-year-old girl, highlighting the ongoing danger and prompting calls for swifter action. Local officials urge residents to remain indoors and vigilant while the search continues.
