India-Singapore Ministers Hold High-Level Talks

A delegation of top Indian ministers, including External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, met with Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to discuss the advancement of the India-Singapore bilateral strategic partnership. This meeting precedes the second India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR), where both nations will review progress from the previous ISMR held in New Delhi in 2022. Jaishankar expressed gratitude for Singapore's guidance and emphasized the importance of cooperation in achieving mutual interests. The ISMR is also viewed as a precursor to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to Singapore. The Singaporean delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, comprises several key ministers who will engage in discussions focused on economic and strategic collaboration.
