Director Hansal Mehta has publicly criticized government officials on social media for delaying his daughter Kimaya's Aadhar registration process, describing it as 'harassment.' Kimaya has been visiting the Aadhar office in Andheri East for three weeks, facing repeated rejections due to various pretexts such as incorrect document stamps and lack of appointments. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) responded by asking for more details to address the issue. Mehta's post garnered mixed reactions, with some users advising him to follow guidelines strictly, while others shared similar frustrations with the bureaucracy. Mehta defended his stance, emphasizing that as a common citizen, he deserves better treatment. His next film, 'The Buckingham Murders,' is set to release in September.
