Akira Fletcher, 23, has been arrested and charged with murder, aggravated murder, and felonious assault in connection with a fatal double shooting on July 12 in Avondale, which resulted in the death of 29-year-old Nyema Norton on August 24. Fletcher, who has an extensive background in community service and was an athlete in high school, is currently held in Hamilton County Jail. The Cincinnati police are continuing their investigation and are seeking additional information from the public. In a separate incident, an 18-year-old man named Ahsan Simmons was found dead from a gunshot wound on Friday morning in the 3700 block of Reading Road. Police are also investigating this case and have requested public assistance for further information.
