Trackhouse to Part Ways with Zane Smith

The decision comes as the team plans to promote Shane van Gisbergen, a triple Supercars champion, to the NASCAR Cup Series full-time in 2025. Smith, who has been racing with Spire Motorsports through a Trackhouse alliance, expressed his disappointment but remains hopeful for future prospects. Meanwhile, van Gisbergen has been competing in the Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing and is expected to fill a third chartered car at Trackhouse. Smith has struggled this season, ranking 33rd with only one top-5 and two top-10 finishes. Despite recent improvements, including a runner-up finish at Nashville, Trackhouse's commitment to van Gisbergen leaves Smith without a seat for next year.
