Sidharth Malhotra is set to star in the upcoming action-family drama 'Mitti,' directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua and produced by Murad Khetani. The film, which is scheduled to begin filming in October 2024 across North India, will feature South Indian actress Sreeleela as the female lead, marking her Bollywood debut. Sreeleela has expressed excitement about her author-backed role, which she accepted after reading the script. The storyline promises a blend of action, emotion, and themes of family and homeland, showcasing a more intense side of Malhotra's character. With pre-production already in progress, 'Mitti' aims for a theatrical release in 2025, coinciding with Sreeleela's other Hindi projects. The collaboration comes as Malhotra continues to establish himself as a prominent action hero in Bollywood, following his success in films like 'Shershaah' and 'Yodha'.
