Fawlty Towers Stage Adaptation Premieres in London

A two-hour stage adaptation of the classic TV sitcom Fawlty Towers will premiere at London's Apollo Theatre, almost 50 years after the original was recorded at the BBC. John Cleese, who co-wrote and starred in the sitcom, has written the play based on three episodes from the series and has been involved in the casting process. The original program aired on BBC Two in the 1970s and revolved around highly-strung hotelier Basil Fawlty and his wife Sybil. The production is directed by Caroline Jay Ranger and will feature comedy actors Adam Jackson-Smith and Anna-Jane Casey.
