Man arrested in Coimbatore

A series of alarming incidents of sexual assault against minors have emerged from different regions in India. In Coimbatore, a 59-year-old man was arrested for raping a three-year-old girl after luring her into an autorickshaw; he has since been remanded under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. In Kolar, a 21-year-old man allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl, leading to his arrest and judicial custody. A 14-year-old girl in Colva was raped multiple times by a local resident, who is now in police custody facing various charges under child protection laws. Additionally, a 30-year-old man was booked in Krishnagiri for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl during a National Cadet Corps camp, with police investigations ongoing. In Cuddalore, a 41-year-old uncle was arrested for raping his 13-year-old niece, with his brother also detained for failing to report the crime, highlighting a troubling trend of familial abuse.
