Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi's' son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Kanishka were injured in a car accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway while traveling from Delhi to Lucknow. The incident occurred around 5 pm when their Mercedes lost control, collided with a divider, and overturned in the Tirwa area of Kannauj. Both were initially taken to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Medical College for first aid before being referred to SGPGI Lucknow for further treatment. Eyewitnesses reported that high speed and slippery road conditions may have contributed to the crash, which caused severe damage to the vehicle, including the engine detaching. District Magistrate Shubrant Kumar Shukla and police officials inspected the accident site shortly after the incident. Despite the severity of the crash, doctors have indicated that their conditions are stable.
