Girl, 13, to appear in court
A 13-year-old girl from Aldershot has pleaded guilty to violent disorder related to a protest that escalated into violence outside Potters International Hotel on July 31. She will be sentenced at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on September 30. Meanwhile, Steven Tiquin, 40, has been charged with multiple counts of assaulting an emergency worker during the same incident, which resulted in an officer requiring hospital treatment. Seven other individuals have already been charged in connection with the protest. Authorities have urged the community to avoid speculation regarding the incident on social media. The case has drawn attention as it coincides with other youth-related charges stemming from similar protests across the UK.
