Tamil Nadu Announces New Rs 68,773 Crore Projects
Tamil Nadu has attracted over Rs 9 lakh crore in investments over the past three years, creating 31 lakh new jobs, as announced by Chief Minister M K Stalin. Ahead of his upcoming visit to the U.S. to attract more investors, Stalin unveiled new industrial projects worth Rs 68,773 crore, which are expected to generate an additional 1 lakh jobs. The initiatives include the inauguration of 19 projects valued at Rs 17,616 crore and laying the foundation for 28 projects worth Rs 51,157 crore. Notably, Sembcorp is investing Rs 36,238 crore in a green hydrogen facility, while Greenko Group plans to invest Rs 20,114 crore in pumped storage projects. The Tamil Nadu government has emphasized its proactive approach in following up on investment commitments, distinguishing itself from other states. This confluence of projects reflects Tamil Nadu's commitment to economic growth and job creation.
