Airlines Suspend Flights Amid Middle East Tensions

Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following the killings of senior Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, several airlines have suspended flights to Israel and Lebanon and are avoiding Iranian airspace. Air France and Transavia France have halted flights to Beirut until at least Tuesday over security concerns. Singapore Airlines, Taiwan's EVA Air, and China Airlines have rerouted their flights to avoid Iranian airspace. US and European airlines have long avoided Iranian airspace due to missile and drone exchanges between Iran and Israel earlier this year. Air India, Lufthansa, and ITA Airways have suspended flights to Tel Aviv, with Air India offering rescheduling and cancellation waivers for affected passengers. Despite the risks, carriers like Etihad, Emirates, FlyDubai, Qatar Airways, and Turkish Airlines continue to operate over Iran.
