The producers of the blockbuster film 'Kalki 2898 AD' have announced that the sequel will begin filming in early 2025, specifically between January and February. Directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring stars like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, the original movie grossed over ₹1100 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Indian and Telugu film of 2024. The sequel will focus on Kamal Haasan's character, Supreme Leader Yaskin, and is expected to take around three years to complete. The producers, Priyanka and Swapna Dutt, expressed more excitement than nervousness this time, thanks to the success of the first part. Some portions of the sequel were already filmed during the initial production phase of the first movie. 'Kalki 2898 AD' is now available for streaming on Prime Video and Netflix in various languages.
