Actor Akili McDowell Arrested for Murder

Akili McDowell, star of the TV series 'David Makes Man,' has been arrested and charged with the murder of 20-year-old Cesar Peralta, following a fatal shooting incident on July 20 at an apartment complex in East Harris County, Texas. McDowell, 21, was taken into custody on August 1 and booked into the Harris County Jail on a $400,000 bond. He also faces a separate theft charge related to a misdemeanor case from July 2023. The relationship between McDowell and Peralta remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing. McDowell's manager has called the situation unfortunate and has refrained from further comment.
