Sammy Guevara Returns to ROH, Saves Rhodes

Sammy Guevara made his long-awaited return to wrestling on the August 1 episode of Ring of Honor after being absent from AEW and ROH programming since late February. His return came during a segment where he rescued Dustin Rhodes from a beatdown by The Dark Order, leading to a handshake between the two after initial hesitation. Guevara had been suspended due to failing to adhere to concussion protocol following an incident involving Jeff Hardy, which raised questions from WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash about AEW's concussion policies. Nash initially questioned the fairness of Guevara's suspension but later acknowledged the reasoning upon learning more details. Guevara’s suspension had reportedly ended prior to his return, which was set up after a taping the previous weekend. This return coincides with Guevara's personal life milestone, having welcomed his first child in November 2023.
