Brent Clifford Charged with Murder of Girlfriend

Brent Clifford, son of Creedence Clearwater Revival drummer Doug Clifford, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Patricia Portella-Wright, whose remains were found near a Nevada highway. Clifford is also a person of interest in the homicide of 68-year-old William Andrews, found with a gunshot wound to the head in Reno. Clifford was apprehended in Portola, California, driving Andrews' red Chevrolet Blazer. Separately, Max Carrillo has been arrested for the April 2023 murder of Luis Carrillo Zamora in Reno. Carrillo was extradited from San Diego and faces a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon. Both cases highlight ongoing investigations and the cooperation between various law enforcement agencies.
