Assam Donates Rs 5 Crore to Tripura Flood Relief
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced immediate relief measures in response to severe flooding in the state, including ₹5 lakh ex-gratia payments to families of flood victims and ₹5 crore in aid for the most affected districts. He has urged the central government to declare the floods a national calamity and to provide additional assistance. Reddy also instructed local authorities to set up call centers and remain vigilant in anticipation of further heavy rains. Meanwhile, the Assam government has donated ₹5 crore to Tripura, which is experiencing catastrophic floods affecting 17 lakh people and resulting in over 32 fatalities. Tripura's Chief Minister, Manik Saha, expressed gratitude for the support from Assam and highlighted previous donations from other states as well. Prime Minister Modi has also sanctioned additional financial aid for the flood-affected families in Tripura.
