14-Year-Old Arrested in Akron Shooting Incident
Two separate shooting incidents involving teenagers have occurred in Akron and Elk City. In Akron, a 14-year-old boy has been arrested for shooting a 16-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man who were inside a parked vehicle; both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the suspect has been charged with two counts of felonious assault. Meanwhile, in Elk City, 17-year-old Leonel Bryan Ramirez was charged with shooting with intent to kill after allegedly shooting a victim during an argument; his victim also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Akron police are continuing their investigation into the shooting, while Ramirez's court date is set for August 27. Both cases highlight ongoing concerns regarding youth violence and firearm access. Authorities are urging anyone with further information to come forward.
