Daisy Ridley, known for her role as Rey in Star Wars, has disclosed her diagnosis of Graves' disease, an autoimmune disorder affecting the thyroid, which she initially mistook for stress-related symptoms from her role in 'Magpie'. Experiencing symptoms like a racing heart, weight loss, tremors, and fatigue, Ridley consulted an endocrinologist who confirmed the diagnosis. She has since adjusted her lifestyle by cutting down on gluten, practicing self-care, and incorporating holistic treatments such as acupuncture and cryotherapy. Ridley, who also suffers from endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome, aims to raise awareness about Graves' disease and the importance of seeking medical advice when feeling unwell.
