Men Pose as Workers in Queens Home Invasion
Two men posing as maintenance workers executed a robbery at a home in Queens on Tuesday, stealing nearly $20,000 in cash and jewelry. The suspects gained entry by engaging a 28-year-old male resident in conversation, before displaying a firearm and forcing their way inside, where a 70-year-old woman was also present. Surveillance footage captured the incident, and the suspects fled in a dark-colored SUV. Local law enforcement has released images of the suspects and is urging anyone with information to contact the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline. Residents in the area have expressed concern over the incident, stressing the importance of verifying the identity of utility workers. Fortunately, the victims were not physically harmed during the ordeal.
