Samson's Kitchen & Bar to Open at Belfast City Airport

Belfast City Airport is set to launch a new restaurant, Samson’s Kitchen & Bar, in late September, marking the first table service eatery in the airport's history. The restaurant is themed around the iconic Samson and Goliath cranes and will feature a menu that incorporates locally sourced ingredients, appealing to a variety of tastes. This initiative, a collaboration between Belfast City Airport and TRG Concessions, aims to create 30 new jobs and enhance the airport's food and beverage offerings. The opening follows a busy summer at the airport, which has seen daily passenger numbers reach up to 10,000. Meanwhile, London City Airport has received government approval for a significant expansion to boost its capacity by a third to nine million passengers by 2031, although environmental concerns have been raised regarding increased emissions. This expansion is particularly relevant for Irish travelers, who frequently travel to London for business.
