Celtic Signs Schmeichel and Sinisalo
Celtic have signed Denmark captain Kasper Schmeichel on a one-year deal, following his departure from Anderlecht, to replace the retired Joe Hart. Schmeichel, who has 105 international caps and previously played under Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, expressed his excitement about joining the 'massive' club. Additionally, 22-year-old Finnish goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo has been signed from Aston Villa, expected to serve as a backup to Schmeichel and benefit from his mentorship. Sinisalo, who joined on a five-year contract, previously played for Exeter City and Ayr United. Celtic are currently on a pre-season tour in the United States. Meanwhile, midfielder Matt O’Riley is attracting interest from clubs including Juventus, Atalanta, Southampton, and Leicester.
