Dolly Parton Announces New Album, Releases Single

Dolly Parton, 78, is set to release a new album titled 'Dolly Parton & Family: Smoky Mountain DNA – Family, Faith and Fables' in November, featuring 37 songs that explore her family's origins from the U.K. to Tennessee. The album includes a newly released song called 'A Rose Won’t Fix It,' which features her niece Heidi Parton on lead vocals and is a revival of a track originally recorded for her 1998 album 'Hungry Again.' Heidi expressed her excitement on Instagram, calling the project a significant moment in her life. The album will also highlight contributions from various family members, including her late mother and siblings. Produced by cousin Richie Owens, the project is accompanied by a four-part docuseries documenting the family's musical journey. The first single, the title track 'Smoky Mountain DNA,' was released earlier in promotion of the album.
