Authorities Crack Down on Ganja in Ernakulam
Authorities are intensifying efforts to combat ganja cultivation and drug trafficking across various regions in India. In Ernakulam, a man named Vishnu Thampi was arrested for selling drugs from a rented house, where police seized 200 grams of marijuana and seven grams of MDMA, alongside evidence of a DJ party planned at the location. Meanwhile, Visakhapatnam officials are preparing to incinerate one lakh kilograms of seized ganja as part of a broader strategy to eliminate cultivation and promote alternative crops, following the destruction of three lakh kilograms last year. Police in Ernakulam also arrested seven individuals involved in drug peddling disguised as food delivery services, recovering 14 kg of ganja. Additionally, the State Task Force in Hyderabad arrested four individuals for selling 1.654 kg of ganja, further highlighting ongoing drug enforcement efforts.
