Extreme Weather: Landslides in Vietnam and Southern China, Severe Drought in Northern China
In Vietnam's Bac Kan province, a landslide killed four family members, including a one-month-old baby, while they slept in their hillside home, leaving one survivor. Meanwhile, Southern China is grappling with heavy rains and landslides that have killed at least nine people, disrupted power for thousands, and caused significant property and agricultural damage, particularly in Fujian and Guangdong provinces. Rescue efforts are underway, including the deployment of helicopters and rescue teams.
