Vedang Raina Discusses Mental Health Challenges in Jigra

Vedang Raina, who made his Bollywood debut in 'The Archies', is set to star alongside Alia Bhatt in the upcoming film 'Jigra', where he portrays Ankur Anand, a young man imprisoned in a foreign jail. During an interview, Vedang discussed the emotional toll of filming intense scenes, revealing that it impacted his mental health significantly. He recounted a challenging experience on set where he isolated himself for eight hours to prepare for a demanding scene, only to face delays that exacerbated his emotional state. Unlike his co-star Alia, who could easily transition out of character, Vedang struggled to do so, leading him to rethink his approach to acting. He expressed the need to find healthier ways to access emotions for his roles, emphasizing that the previous method was not sustainable. 'Jigra', directed by Vasan Bala, is set to be released in theaters on October 11, 2024.
