Coco Gauff Highlights Olympic Village Issues

Tennis star Coco Gauff revealed the challenging living conditions at the Olympic Village in Paris, where she and nine other teammates shared just two bathrooms. Gauff's TikTok video highlighted the overcrowded and uncomfortable accommodations, leading most of her teammates to move to a hotel, leaving only five athletes sharing the limited space. The Olympic Village's lack of air conditioning and the use of thin, cardboard mattresses added to the discomfort. Gauff managed to improve her situation slightly by borrowing a mattress topper from the US Archery team. Despite the issues, Gauff remained in the Village and expressed contentment with the current setup. The situation has drawn broader attention to the subpar living conditions for athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
