Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

Athletes Steve Serio and Nicky Nieves will serve as flag bearers for Team USA at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, which will be the first Paralympics held in Paris from August 28 to September 8. The event will feature over 4,000 athletes competing in 22 sports across iconic venues like the Eiffel Tower and Versailles. Parisians, who largely missed out on Olympic tickets, have bought 92% of the 1.75 million tickets sold for the Paralympics. India's largest-ever contingent of 84 athletes aims to surpass their record 19 medals from Tokyo 2020. The Games will also spotlight athletes like USA's Oksana Masters and Dutch wheelchair tennis champion Diede de Groot. This year's Paralympics, marked by efforts to improve accessibility, are expected to leave a lasting legacy on Paris' infrastructure.
